Josh Futturman, a janitor by day and a gamer by night, is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time to prevent the extinction of humanity. Yes it's cheesy, corny and literally steals the plots from dozens of movies bit that is part of its charm.

One of my favorite bits was the bill Cosby bit in episode 2.

Anyone that doesn't enjoy this show clearly missed out on the awesome corny movies of the 80s (and yes I loved The Last Starfighter)

Rogen's humor can be hit or miss but this is definitely a hit.

Another reviewer commented on hating Hutcherson prior to this series, same here. Playing Pita bread in the hunger games made me hope for his characters death repeatedly. He definitely redeems himself in this series though.

I've already recommended future man to a half dozen friends whom had never heard of it. Derek Wilson stole the show. Wolf and his lines/adventures were the most enjoyable thing about the show.

The trailer and decryption made it seem like one of those dime a dozen YA books for boys I occasionally enjoy. Its not that but that was both disappointing and interesting. It is not science fiction or anything other than a comedy. Plot itself is obviously derivative, which they point out themselves but that does not change that you are watching the same situations with a different characters. The question is how much do you enjoy the characters. you be the judge of that.

yes, you. another refreshing things about this show is that it does not tell you how you should feel about the characters and their actions. They do what they do and you are free to view the characters as reprehensible, admirable or full of crock. It's refreshing in this day and age where a lot of shows seem obsessed with telling you what to think.

Quality/tone wise it remind me a lot of those cheap Australian/British comedies about underachievers in unexpected situations. Unlike those shows I was actually able to sit through this one. Future Man is mediocre and has it ups and downs but in the end I feel it was worth my time.
